Goals of D-ELAN

The purpose, tasks and goals of D-ELAN in detail:

Public relations work
Through its activities, D-ELAN contributes to the formation of opinion regarding e-learning. Image-building and the promotion of the reputation and use of e-learning are sustainably supported using suitable measures. The goal is to increase the acceptance of e-learning among potential users, decision-makers and the general public.

Representation of interests
D-ELAN represents the interests and points of view of the members of national and international committees.

Promotion of quality and business excellence
It is the association’s aim to publicise and support nationally and internationally accepted guidelines, models and standards for quality and business excellence in e-learning. The members are committed to align themselves to this customer-oriented goal by providing high-quality products and services.

Expertise
D-ELAN brings experts together for relevant questions and makes expertise available. The association offers its expertise as a competent contact. It sets up Special Interest Groups or sends its members to expert committees and bodies that already exist outside the association. In advisory councils, it contributes to the assessment and selection of projects in the field of e-learning.

E-learning networking
Through appropriate events (also in connection with established organisers like LEARNTEC, Online Educa, etc.), D-ELAN provides a forum for the building of networks with enterprises, public institutions, research institutions, associations and individuals.

International connections
D-ELAN maintains co-operations and liaisons with international e-learning groups, organisations and associations. We aspire to a close co-operation and joint activities in order to promote e-learning. With connections to international and especially European organisations and corporations, the association contributes actively to this strengthening of the e-learning industry and trans-national projects.
